Will's Still Here

Disclaimer: I don't own Pirates of the Caribbean, or the song "I'm Still Here." The song is from the movie Treasure Planet. I don't own that movie either.

Will is a question to the world

Not an answer to be heard

Or a moment that's held in her arms

And what do you think you ever say?

Will won't listen anyway

You don't know him, and he'll never be what you want him to be

And what do you think you'd understand?

Will's a boy-no, he's a man

You can't take him, and throw him away

And how can Will learn what's never shown?

Yeah, you stand here on your own

They don't know him, 'cause Will's not here

And Will wants a moment to be real

Wants to touch things he can't feel

Wants to hold on, and feel he belongs

And how can the world want Will to change?

They're the ones that stay the same

They don't know him, 'cause Will's not here

And she see the things they never see

All she wanted, Will could be

Now she knows him, and he's not afraid

And Will wants to tell her who he is

Can she help him be a man?

They can't break Will, as long as he knows who he is

And Will wants a moment to be real

Wants to touch things he can't feel

Wants to hold on, and feel he belongs

And how can the world want Will to change?

They're the ones that stay the same

They can't see him, but Will's still here

They can't tell Will who to be

'Cause he's not what they see

Yeah, the world is still sleeping while he keeps on dreaming for him

And their words are just whispers and lies that he'll never believe

And Will wants a moment to be real

Wants to touch things he can't feel

Wants to hold on, and feel he belongs

And how you say he'll never change?

They're the ones that stay the same

Will's the one now, cause Will's still here

Will's the one son still here

Will's still here

Will's still here

Will's still here

The End

A/N: 1.) I was inspired to write this after seeing several videos on YouTube about Will Turner that used this song. One of which, I, myself, made. I think this is the perfect song for him. So much so, that I've actually started calling it Will's Theme, instead of Jim's Theme, which is what it was called in Treasure Planet.

2.) This may be very obvious, but "She" is in fact referring to Elizabeth. I couldn't help it. I just had to put a little bit of my own signature Willabeth twist onto this. And if you think about it, it makes perfect sense that she'd be the focus of that verse. Because after all, Elizabeth was the ONLY person who saw the things in Will that nobody else saw in him.
