Andromeda and Nymphadora

Andromeda sat on her bed looking at the little girl in the cradle next to her. It was hard to believe that just two hours ago that little baby had been inside her. Her hair was a beautiful dark brown and her eyes were a familiar black color, a way to familiar black color. Nymphadora had the Black family traits and it was easy to see, but she looked exactly like Andromeda's sister Bellatrix. Seeing her daughter look so much like her family caused her a great deal of pain inside. She wanted to show Nymphadora off to Bella and show Cissy how great being a mother was, but if they saw her today they wouldn't dare say a word; Bella might even kill her.

Being estranged from her family wasn't an easy thing and when her daughter reminded her of the past and the way things used to be it just made her want to look away from her. Look away from her sweet little smile and her tiny little feet. Ted came in the room and looked at his wife who seemed very distressed.

"What's wrong honey?' he asked rather concerned. Andromeda had been awaiting the arrival of their child so anxiously it seemed odd that she was now so depressed.

"She just looks like" Andromeda turned not able to finish her sentence. She couldn't talk to Ted about her family it just didn't seem right. As she looked back into the cradle she had to do a double take. She swore that her daughter's hair was now a light brown.

"Ted look!" Andromeda shouted and he looked over the edge of the cradle to see his daughter's hair changing color.

"What the hell is wrong with her!" he shouted and suddenly Nymphadora started to cry her hair changing into a blue color.

"Ted she's a metamorphagus."

"A what", but Andromeda didn't pay attention. She just picked up her daughter thanking the heavens she wouldn't always have to look at her and feel the pain of the past.
