SUMMARY: inspired by a line in km1958's fic "You Learn to Let Go". Thanks to Trevor for the heads-up about it. He probably didn't expect me to grab this and run with it, especially not after the monster 2 month long writer's block I've been fighting. And losing.
ANs: Btw., it's deliberate. ;-)
Not the writer's block, of course.

It was a regular morning at JAG HQ, everyone was warming up for a busy day at work. The sun was singing, the birds were shining and Coates was delivering mail. One of the receipients was CDR Rabb who, upon reading the first line, obeyed the order written there and stood up, walking into the bullpen.
"Attention on deck!" he yelled out and nodded pleased when it took but a second for a silence to reign.
"At ease." he ordered then and waited for everyone to change stances "I've just received a letter from Admiral Chegwidden, of which contents I'm supposed to share with the rest of you."
Seeing he had everyone's attention he cleared his throat and began "He says he's had an amazing year last year touring all the baseball parks in the country and thinks it's something everyone should do at least once in their lives. A month ago he came back into DC and was approached with a job offer. So now he's a coach at the Naval Academy in Annapolis and enjoying the game and the young midshipmen immensely. He's extending a collective invitation to the viewing of the first game that's in a month..."
He stopped there as the second, much less clean meaning of the second-to-last sentence dawned on him. The silence was suddenly thick as everyone stared shocked, interspersed only with an occasional muffled giggle and snicker as people couldn't contain their amusement.
"It doesn't say that!" Mac hissed, approaching Harm and ripped the paper out of stunned CDR's hands.
"See for yourself." he grumbled as soon as he recovered from his shock, but Mac was already quickly going through the letter.
Then she froze when she got to the passage in question, eyebrows disappearing into her hairline as her lips set in a thin, hard line, eyes blazing dangerously.
"Ma'am?" a completely scandalised Harriett asked with a trembling voice. What Harriett was doing at JAG since she didn't work anymore, Mac didn't know, but for some reason she was there.
Mac looked up, dismay and anger clear in her features "It's true."
"Oh." whimpered Harriett.
"Don't worry, Harriett, it's just a phrase." soothed Harm, calmed down and confident as he dismissed the assembly.

ANNAPOLIS
"Ready for the base run, Midshipman?" the Admiral demanded sternly.
The Midshipman jumped to attention and barked "Aye aye, sir."
Then she gave him a seductive smile and began unbuttoning her uniform blouse with slow, teasing movements, a button at a time. As Albert Jethro watched article after article fall away to reveal young perfect skin and strong curves, he grinned to himself.
Oh, yeah, I'm definitely enjoying the "game" and the midshipmen!
