Lelouch is frustrating me again. He thinks he knows everything, using words like 'conflagration' and 'indefatigable'. I don't even know what those words mean. He is just watching me with that smug look on his face. Lelouch is wearing his uniform, which has the same uniformity as all the other uniforms. He brushes his black hair away from his gorgeous purple eyes, which he tries to make so devoid of emotion that they are frigid, and tries to talk to me while I am distracted.
"Kallen, your attention isn't wavering, is it?" I have a proposition for you." Of course I have the most dignified response. "Huh?" His smirk grows.
"Really Kallen, did you think you could rectify the situation by playing dumb?"
I am confused. I meet his gaze, trying to figure out what he is thinking. I had been looking at my feet for a while. He had increased our proximity while I was thinking. …………….. Lelouch has pretty eyes …… Concentrate. Ignore him this is just part of his game. But he is kind of hot…….. Stop it. I force myself to talk to him.
"I don't know what you are talking about," wait a sec, I remember, "but I will raze you."
"But Kallen, we should work together." With every word he gets closer and closer to me. Him being so close to me is exhilarating. I hear the door to the student council room fly open. It is Shirley.
"Luluuuuu, Kaleeen, are you guys in here?" I ungainly vacillate away from Lelouch and trip on something. My behind, is toast. I didn't hit the ground. How strange. For some reason, Lelouch caught me. It is embarrassing. I quickly stand up. Shirley blushes and takes a couple steps backwards.
"I hope I wasn't interrupting something, but that cat isn't going to catch itself. Milly has decreed that the whole school has to be pursuing it, so you guys better get a move on." Shirley turns around and walks out the door. I would be laughing if I weren't so embarrassed. I feel a flame ignite under my spirit and it is invigorating, it is time to catch that cat and get some blackmail on Lelouch. I leave the sedentary boy in seclusion with one last jibe,
"I am not going to rectify the situation, I am going to remedy it."
