She was the stupidest smart person I ever knew.
Constantly overlooked what she had.
She could name the list of ingredients from any Potion, take your pick.
But she forgot to look under her nose—
Didn't see what she was missing;
Never thought of love.
Because, after all, in the books, love is always dashing
Crashing
An entrance with trumpets
And shining white horses.
How was she to know that books don't solve everything?
