***I'm not gonna lie to you:

I have never played FF VII in my life. So so, so many things may be factually innacurate. forgive this humble writer.

Oh yeah, Aeris is Aeris for this one, Not Aerith.***

They shot up the desert.

"Dammit,dammit,dammit..." Cloud kept grumbling to himself.

Aeris who sat on the back of the motorcycle with her legs hanging off the side, was also more then a little worried." Will we still make it in time?"

"You let me worry about that." He revved the motorcycle and the speed increased tenfold.

Sonn they arrived at Mako Reactor -1 and met up with the rest of the group.

" What took you so long" Vincent asked.

"Traffic." cloud replied.

"Both of you shut up!" Barret ended it right there.

"Anyway, Me and a select few will take point. Cait Sith,Vincent, and RED XIII, your with me." Barret commanded, But Cait Sith was dumbfounded.

"'Why do I have to go?"

"Becaue you're expendable."

"Why I oughtta--"

"Enough." The usually solemn cloud spoke."We don't have time for this." Everyone nodded.

"But still--" Cait Sith was about to say, but he knew what would happen if he picked a fight with cloud."..Nevermind, I'll go first.." Cait Sith grumbled and moved, with the rest following.

Seconds turned to minutes. Minutes turned to hours. Finally a rustling, like a few people running was heard from the mouth of the Reacter.

"What the...?" Cloud said and stepped closer. Suddenly, the quartet came from the mouth, screaming ,"RUN!!!" Cloud asked no questions. He grabbed Aerith and they ran away, but the others were still in the deep in the blast range. Aeris heard a boom, and all went black around her.

Darkness. It was all she felt.

she felt a sense of emptyness, like when she was knocked out by a monster. Everything was silent. She was sure she was dead. Then it hit her.

A bright light. She opened her eyes to find herself in a hospital, She found part of her body singed and her Arm in a sling.

"You're Awake." She turned to find Cloud, Who also had several scorch marks.

"Cloud...what happened?" Aeris' voice was still quite weak.

"Save your energy. I must tell you something." Cloud sighed.

" The bodies of Red XIII and Barret were never found."

Aeris was silent; more than she had ever been in her life.

She was almost afraid to ask. "...And Vincent?"

Now it was cloud's turn to be silent.

"Vincent... is fine. He suffered the least injuries and is at home with Lucrecia."

Aeris sighed. "Thank the gods. maybe... maybe...."

But her voice was too weak to even finish her sentence. She soon fell asleep afterwards.

" We have gathered hear today to bid adieu to two of the planets finest warriors."

The Mnister' voice was like a shallow grave. Aeris couldn't hold back her tears, though she couldn't even try. she lay her head on cloud's shoulder, trying to be strong for her fallen friends.

"Aeris....Please don't cry..." Said a solemn Cloud. he pointed at the sky.

"See the rain? When you cry they return your tears." Aeris was trying her hardest to stop, though she couldn't fully until the funeral service was finished.

"Cloud...can you walk me home?"Aeris asked him. Cloud knew of her condition...and he espescially didn't want her walking home alone in the rain, so he agreed.

Hand in Hand, they walked in silence.

"Cloud?" She asked.

"Hm." Do you think....Do you think they're happy....wherever they are?"

"Cloud was silent for a second."..I suppose so."

That was all she needed to hear.

Eventually they arrived at Aeris' house.

"Thank you." Aeris was quiet.

"Uh huh."

She gave him a quick peck on the cheek and entered her home.

She lay on her bed, offering a silent prayer for her friends, and closed her eyes.

***Short, I know....But remember, I know very little about the world of FF VII(Not that I use that as an excuse...). Maybe I'll write another one, And Maybe it'll have Cait Sith and Yuffie in it....***
