As a kid all Evangelica Hansen wanted was to fit in, she was a beautiful young girl with the brains to match. When she enrolls in an all boys school to be with her best friend Jared, she had to disguise herself a boy to actually go to the school.

1. Prologue

Dear Dad,

I never meant to make it such a mess for you, so I just stand here sorry, for not being what you want me to be, not being able to break in the glove with you or to go on fishing trips with. No, I'd rather pretend that I'm something you want me to be, I'm sorry I couldn't be the boy you wanted.
