It amused Morgana when Gwen discovered that the vase of flowers had her name on it. "Who are they from?" she asked, all innocence.

Gwen shook her head, still looking a bit shocked. "I don't know, my lady," she said. "The note just said, 'To Gwen.'"

"You know, red daisies stand for beauty," Morgana said, then changed the subject as she noticed Gwen blush and smile down at her daisies.

A week later, there was another vase of flowers waiting for Gwen. Morgana hid her smile as Gwen smelled them. "Do you like them?" she asked, making the question polite, rather than hopeful.

"They're beautiful," Gwen said, rearranging them slightly in the vase.

"They symbolize devotion," Morgana said, once more changing the subject before Gwen could comment.

When the third bouquet appeared, Gwen began to suspect - to hope - the Lady Morgana knew more about it than she was letting on. "Do you know what these ones mean, my lady?" she asked before Morgana could volunteer the information.

Morgana smiled. "Love," she said simply, then swept out of the room, leaving Gwen to smile goofily at her latest bouquet.

Gwen arrived earlier than normal the next week, interrupting Morgana in the process of writing out the usual 'To Gwen' note. "I knew it was you," she said, though she knew it was a lie. She hadn't known, only hoped.

Morgana smiled at her and plucked a single flower out of the vase, offering it. "Ask me?"

Their fingers touched as Gwen took the flower, and her voice was breathier than normal as she asked, "What does this one mean?"

Morgana stepped even closer, her eyes meeting Gwen's. If it wasn't Morgana, Gwen would have called the look almost shy. "Kiss me?"
