Freedom of death
The many kingdoms, under the stars,
Fall and rise like the sun,
Countless lifetimes lived and lost.
Leaders, kings but ripples in water,
Fade away and are forgotten,
Slaves to life and her shackled chains.
Death walks among the people,
Twisted shadows and bones,
The trapped call for help, he answers.
Life and death, brother and sister,
Twins similar yet different,
An epic battle fought yet no clear victor.
If life wins, many lives longer,
If death wins, many lives shorter,
Those trapped by life wish freedom.
The kingdom rises under life's reign,
But now death's time has come,
The suns set and night has fallen.
The slaves of life run from her,
Betrayed, weakened, alone now she is,
Death has returned to repay her dues.
His army strong against crumbling walls,
Life sits upon her throne, majesty broken,
The people beg, death grants, chains shattered.
The sky aflame, sun setting, darkness eternal,
Death's reign has come the dark age is nigh,
Life pleads, death has no mercy, crimson rivers flow.
The kingdom fallen, ruined, defeated, life no longer rules,
The people killed, released, freed, ascended,
The kingdom shrouded in shadow under the stars.
The cycle ended, another's time diminished,
Memories and ghosts lay under sun and star,
Another kingdom shall rise under life fall under death.
The people, slaves to life will plea, pray to death,
Time will pass, life rises, slaves beg for mercy,
Life will ignore, dismiss, forget the forgotten.
At life's apex, golden ages rise, death will come forth,
Upon fleet shadow, darkness and death he rides,
And the slaves see, hear, smell, touch, taste him,
Freedom, the freedom of death.
