We all have a weakness. But some of ours are easy to identify. Look me in the eye, and ask for forgiveness.
"Kanoki… Kano… are you alright?" Horror was etched on his face as he looked from his hand to the cheek of his girlfriend, red from where he had slapped. She was the only one he was able to say he could stay around without turning into this monster… the monster that did hurt others or at least tried to.
Tears were in Kanoki's eyes but she pushed a weak smile over her lips as she nodded. "I'm fine… don't worry." Aqua eyes looked still so shocked, the last few moments had been like a blur to her. They were arguing about someone and then she said something that had pushed him past control.
"No.. I'm so sorry.. I." Shizuo's voice was shaky as his fists balled up; this violence… was something he hated more than anything.
We all have something that digs at us.
She wrapped her arms around him, holding him tightly as she felt him shaking just a bit. "Shizuo, it's alright, you didn't hit me hard, it could've been so much worse, I'm really okay."
Tears were rolling down her cheeks and his own before he slowly spoke again, his tone so broken. "If I turn into a monster… if this… becomes who I am than please… please dig the real me out of this monster… please… Kanoki… love me… and stay with me."
To see him this way broke her heart to pieces, and all she could do was nod gently and then press her lips so softly to his cheek. "You will never, become a monster." Fingers moved up to brush away tears before she kissed his lips softly, her hands gently holding onto him, reassuring him that she was never going to let go.
If I turn into another, dig me up from under what is covering the better part of me. Sing this song remind me that we'll always have each other when everything else is gone.
