New story :D
Ever since Santana admitted her lesbian lovings to Brittany, I've had writers block for IINSYFA O.o But I still wanted to write more Gleefics... so I'm gonna try this (:
Every chapter is someone else's POV, and it's basically everything that happened before the pilot of Glee. The chapters will probably be short, depending on what's going down, so they're more like drabbles. But please, R+R! :D Tell me if I should keep this, and if so who or what do you wanna hear about next?

There was never a time when Finn Hudson did not think about his father.

Of course, Finn never actually met his father. His dad died in combat when Finn was just an infant. He grew up only with his mother- who he loved and stuff; don't get him wrong. But he was always would imagine what it'd be like having a dad who would coach his Little League's team, or take him fishing at the bay, and he would get jealous that that could never happen with him and his dad.

Finn always struggled to make his dead father proud. He made his mom sign him up for any sport imaginable as a kid, since he figured most dads like sports. After a couple of years trying everything out, he stuck to mostly football and basketball.

Honestly, he never cared much for football as a kid. It wasn't until seventh grade that he decided to stick football out, because he found out that the football players at William McKinley High- his future high school- rule the place. Eventually, he had grown to love it, both watching it and playing it. It was an All-American sport after all, right?

Besides sports, Finn also developed a love of music at a young age. Mostly it started from his mom's old boyfriend, who taught him to respect the classics. He would never of thought twice about being a rockstar or anything, though. The only singing he ever done was in the shower. Plus the only instrument he played was the drums, which he had taught himself to play, shortly after his mom's boyfriend left them.

Still, even if he had never thought of being a rockstar, Finn did dream of making it big time- at least, big time enough to get him out of Lima. Him and his mother didn't have the most money in the world, so they didn't really get out of town often. Luckily the computer and video games let you virtually leave the place you live in, and travel to wherever you could possibly imagine. He had always vowed to himself to get a football scholarship somewhere good, and get the hell out of Lima after high school. Being a "Lima Loser" was not an option for him.

Not many people got his idea of wanting to be more than a "Lima Loser". Luckily for Finn, his best friend understood what he meant when he said it. When Finn and Puck (who was still "Noah" back then) first joined the football and basketball teams together, they had a brief rivalry, which ended up with them both on the sidelines with broken arms. Once they started spending more time on the bench together, they slowly became friends. As it turned out, Noah knew what Finn meant when he said he wanted to get out of Lima when he was older. Noah wanted to be a rock star, even at the age of 8.

Seven years later, Puck and Finn were still great friends, but they kind of changed. When they joined the football team in ninth grade, their social statuses skyrocketed, as did their ego. Next thing you know Puck was pushing some guy in a wheelchair down the stairs, and Finn was laughing along side him.

And the sad thing is, Finn never thought twice about what he was doing- about whether that would be making his father proud too.
