It was a very cool day, considering it was the middle of June, and it was raining cats and dogs. Massie ran as quickly as possible to her Range Rover, where Isaac, her family's personal cheaffuer would be waiting.
Claire,watching from her window sat longing to feel as excited as she did when her and Massie would do things together. The perks she would get just for being a friend of the fabulous Massie Block.. But what killed her the most was that Massie was riding to the new girl, Kim's house, or as Claire called her, The Living Turd. Claire could see absolulutely nothing normal about Kim, she smelled like rotten mustard and cheese, her face looked pinched up and wrinkled, and her hair was about the color of an ocean, and extremely long and frizzy. But nobody else saw this fact. To TPC, and everyone at BOCD, Kim was a total replacement for Claire.
As Claire and Massie had once been bffs, now Kim and Massie were together 24/7 and Claire was back to being an LBR D-Lister like when she first moved to Westchester. Even Cam hated her.
It had all happened in a whirlwind of something so deep and that had happened so fast, Claire didn't even totally understand it.
About a year ago, Massie and Claire were bffs, and that was great the way it was. Then over the summer, Massie had some probs with Alicia, and Claire was kind of a replacement, which was fine with her, because she practically worshipped Massie. They hung out so much, that Masie sometimes even called Judy mom and Claire did the same to Kendra. There wasn't a single day they wouldn't call eachother, even though they lived on the same land space.
Then the new year starts, and BAM, Massie gets all these new friends. One of which, Claire actually became really close friends with. The rest? Not exactly.
Cam had his best friend, "Derrington", as they called Derrick Harrington, break up with Claire over a myspace message, and started dating Sam that same day. At first, Massie saw exactly what Sam was, and that was a lier, a jealous jerk, stupid, and just plain rude with a huge mouth.
But Claire took Massie to a restaurant with only them and TPC. But guess who was there? Of course it was Sam. first Sam "accidentally" as Massie now calls it, tripped her and sat on her within two seconds, but by the end of the night, they were bff.
Claire struggled to be okay with this, but it really didn't work out. Massie would go on and on and on about what Sam and Cam would be doing together, how she had forgotten to call Sam that night, how she needed to call her tonight, and that her, Kim and Sam were all going shopping.
Massie and Claire continued to be best friends, yet Sam and her friends seemed to get in the way.
Christina, the earlier mentioned "only one of Massie's new friends that Claire got along with" tried to comfort her, but one day when Claire, Massie, and Christina (only the three) were sitting together at lunch, Claire was daydreaming about a cute guy named Luke who was ah-dorable and everybody knew it, except Massie and Christina. They still however, after spending zero time with him and never talking to him or even meeting him, came to the conclusion that he was WAAY out of her league and that she would "never get him"
That same day, however, Luke smiled at Claire a few times and even talked to her. But it seemed to have been a one day thing cuz that was it... until a little while later.
