Author's Note: Okay, i'm not a giant fan of relationships between children...but if it's in my ead it's comming out...and I think I wrote this more on a reserved, clean and cute side. But that's just me, I could be wrong. It's very possible.

"Just some magic" Max smiled and tossed his head to the side, causing his hair to move from his face. He was so glad he was finally getting some respect from a former fulltime bully and he was able to talk to Traci! He had liked the upperclassman since, well, since he laid eyes on her and he hadn't been able to muster up the courage to actually talk to her. Talking to a few other girls was fairly simple but this was Traci, she was different, she was something else. "Ah!!"

"Relax; it's just me...who was that?" Nicky asked with fading amusement in his voice. Nicky was a ghost, is a ghost. He and his sister, Tara, popped up at his house a while ago looking for their parents, who hadn't been living there for years. Now he was stuck with them because he had to help them against Phears, he didn't mind his sister because she was nice but him.

"That? Um, n-no one" he shook his head and walked back to the stage. Nicky looked to the exit where the girl left and rolled his eyes as he came to the living boys side.

"You like her" he said as he climbed onto the stage, his tone wasn't interested so Max had to wonder why he even bothered asking.

"Yeah and I think she's starting to like me back" The kid said with a grin as he watched his dangling feet, "Hey Nicky...do you like anyone?...I mean your a ghost...sooo, can you like...like someone?" It wasn't a question for part of his rapidly growing paranormal knowledge, he was genuinely curious. He didn't think it would be much of a life, or afterlife, without love and someone special.

"Yeah," He nodded. "I like someone" The older boy answered as he stuffed his hands and looked at the back of the brunette's head.

"Do you get butterflies or anything when you're around them?" He looked up at his dead friend, his neck craned back till he thought he'd become a human Pez dispenser.

"All the time man" he smiled sadly as he looked down at him then his attention was drawn to an interesting speck on the ground.

"Wow...Hey, Nicky, I'm gonna help you and your sister, don't worry" he reassured, taking his friends sad smile as a sign that he was worried that he may not come through.

"Yeah, I hope so..." he muttered. He wasn't likely to admit It out loud but despite the pranks and rude attitude, he wasn't as strong as his sister, she was handling missing their parents way better than him.

"Oh...I have to go, I'll see you at home Nicky!" Max gathered his things and ran out of the theater. The ghost came down from the stage and looked after him with a groan. He kicked the railing to the stairs, only to have his foot pass right through and he nearly started yelling in frustration. He was so close. Why could he just say it?
