This is my first Death Note fanfic. I've realized that there were big holes from the anime ending and the manga ending (at the very end), so I've wanted to fill those holes. I hope you enjoy it!-
Chapter 1
Ryuk
I just wrote Yagami Light's name in my death note. It's been 40 seconds; he has to be dead by now. I go into the abandoned building that he just ran into. Yep, he's dead.
A little bit of sympathy runs through me. Seeing him dead like that, lying there on those stairs, still bleeding from his wounds. I decide to bring him somewhere else.
I drag him outside of the building that he just was. I stop because there are humans coming. I drop him and hide behind the wall, since some of them did touch the note, they could see me.
Matsuda Tota, starts freaking out because he thought that he killed Light. He should get a hold of himself; I was the one that killed him. Aizawa Shuichi tells him to calm down and that Light was Kira. Matsuda wipes the tears from his eyes with the sleeve of his jacket.
Nate River sits himself down next to Light's body. He pokes it while he plays with his hair. He examines it some more before announcing that he is really dead. I look at my death note under Nate's arm. I need to get that back somehow, or I can't go back to the Shinigami world.
Nate River hands the note over to Halle Bullook, and she puts it in a bag. All of the SPK leave.
Aizawa says that they should go too. Mogi Kanzo picks up Light's body and throws it over his shoulder. All the men look at each other to see whose going to make the call to Misa. I wonder how she's going to react. Matsuda is the one that picks up his phone and dials her number. I can't watch him make the call. Before I leave, I take one last look at Light's body. I open my wigs and fly. I really need an apple.
