"Do you like me?" The words slipped from her lips before she could even stop them. She didn't know what possessed her to say that she wasn't thinking that a couple minutes ago when the two were playing the video game. Brandon was caught off guard by the question and stared into the girls eyes. He blinked in confusion before looking down at the control in his hands. Did he like her? He hasn't really thought about it. He hasn't thought of her more than a friend if anything she was like his little sister. Brandon looked back over towards her with a sad smile shaking his head. She didn't know why she would expect him to say yes. She nods her head in understanding playing the game again. They two continued to play the game as if she never asked the question. She paused the game and turned facing the other. "Why?" She asked chewing on her both lip.
Brandon looked at her and search her eyes she was looking for an honest answer her eyes were pleading and begging him for a worded answer. He placed the controller down on the end table and faced them girl placing his hands on her shoulders. He leaned forward pressing his lips onto hers into a soft kiss. She immediately melted under the kiss but he didn't feel anything. He pulled away and sighed softly before speaking; "I didn't feel anything during that kiss, the whole time your eyes were closed mine were opened" he explained to her watching her face fell quickly. She nods and pressed play on the controller, the two started playing the game again. Brandon just hoped she would just continue to play the game and not try to question him again. The girl chewed on her bottom lip harshly as she tried to contain her tears. Brandon could smell her fresh tears threatening to spill. This is why he didn't hang out with girls because they easily caught feelings. Though he thought she would have been different they have been friends when he was younger before he pushed her away. "Kimi... Do you like me?" He asked.
Kimi paused the game and looked at him with confusion. Why was he suddenly asking her as if it wasn't obvious. She slowly nods her head. "Yes... I do" she confessed trying to hide her face.
Brandon watched her with a small smile, he knew why he couldn't like her or bring himself to like her because his heart belonged to someone else. He placed his hand on her head and smiled softly. "You shouldn't like me, there is someone out there who could actually like you or maybe even love you" he said. Kimi looked at him with confusion tilting her head to the side blinking. Brandon would admit she was adorable and if his heart didn't belong to someone else he'd definitely fall in love with her. "My heart belongs to someone else and I don't want you getting hurt. I don't deserve your heart but someone else does".
Kimi nods her head slowly as the tears run down her cheeks. She allowed the other to wipe her tears and whispered softly; "one more kiss please? I don't care if you don't feel anything. I need this to move on".
Brandon bites his bottom lips and hesitates a bit before pressing his lips again her. Kimi kissed back in between sobs and wrapped her arms around his neck. Brandon pulled away from the kiss and rubs her back gently. "I'm sorry Kimi" he whispered into her ear. If only his heart didn't belong to someone else.
