Short drabble-y thing that I did while on the bus.
Everything Harry Potter belongs to JK Rowling.
James Potter spent his time doing not many, but a fair amount of things. These included Quidditch, spending time with his fellow Maurauders and believe it or not, studying. But the one thing James Potter constantly spent his time doing was waiting. He'd been waiting for quite a long time now. Not that he minded, really. He knew he wasn't going to have to wait forever. Sure, it would take some time, but he knew that there would be one day where he wouldn't have to wait anymore.
He wasn't waiting for a letter or a parcel or anything of the sort. No. He was waiting for her.
He sat in the common room, waiting for her, watching her quietly walk back to her dorm. They were Sixth-Years now, and remembering the incident with Snape by the lake, he'd grown up a little bit, over the summer. Normally, if he'd see her in the common room, he'd grin, use a stupid pick-up line and demand she go out with him. But this year, he was different. This year, he would smile at her, but say nothing, and somehow, after a while, she began to smile back, and this gave him hope. James Potter was never going to stop waiting for Lily Evans, because he knew that one day - one fine day, she would be his, and it would all be worth the wait.
Thanks for reading and being a part of whatever it is I'm doing with my spare time..
