At last, the war between the vampire hunters and vampires have come to an end. Peace comes back at Cross Academy once again. And it's all thanks to my vampire best friend, Yuuki Cross, or should I say, Yuuki Kuran. I found out about her last name being Kuran because she was called the Pureblood princess on that day we reunite in the ball. Hey, Zero-kun also have something to do with this so I also should give him a credit for this. Anyway, peace has returned into the academy and I'm going to have a moment with her outside the school.
"It's nice for us to have the time to spend together, Yuuki," I said as we take a walk and looking at our Day Class classmates. Speaking of that, it's nice to see Yuuki wearing her Day Class uniform. Last time I reunited with her, she is wearing the Night Class uniform. "Oh, by the way, it's good to see you wearing the Day Class uniform again."
"Oh, thank you, Yori-chan," she replied in joy.
"And also, nice haircut. You know, that reminded me of you as a human," I also commented on her haircut. Anyway, that was her hairstyle before becoming a vampire. When she is a vampire, her hair goes long. Anyway, she ended up cutting her hair back to the way it was when she was a human.
"Yeah, this goes to show you that I'm with Zero in stopping Kaname."
"Speaking of Kuran-senpai, what happened to him?"
"Well, Yori-chan..." she started to explain what had happened. She witnessed him throwing his heart into the furnace and before he went to a slumber, he gave her and Zero his blessing of wanting them to be together. This is his atonement for his sins.
"That is, uh, quite a story," I commented in awe.
"Yeah, it is."
"Anyway, how's Zero-kun doing?" I asked in wonder about that guy.
"He's fine. Well, for someone who is a vampire hater has turned tolerable on those monsters," was her reply. Well, that's good development out of him.
"I see," I commented.
We take a walk to the bridge as we take a look at our reflections in the river. I take notice on Yuuki's reflection. I know that vampires don't have mirror reflections, but the vampires I found out are different. They have reflections, they sleep in regular beds, and even come out in the sunlight, although it hurts them a little.
"Yori-chan..." she looked at me after she finished looking at her reflection.
"Hmm? What is is, Yuuki?" I asked.
"Promise you won't forget me?"
"I promise."
"Not even when I'm a thousand years old?" Yuuki asked another question. Now that I thought about it, they have immortality.
"No, I won't. That's because you still look young for a thousand years," I replied in honesty. "But, Yuuki, promise you won't forget me?"
"Don't worry, I won't," she replied in honesty too and grabs a hold of my shoulder.
"Not even when I'm an elderly woman?" I asked.
"I won't."
As I looked into her eyes, I knew she's telling the truth.
"I believe you," I stated. Next, I pull out a vial of blood and give it to Yuuki. "Oh, and here, it's for you."
"Yori-chan..." she stared in awe for this act. I never gave her this before. Next, she hugs me and I returned it. "Thank you."
"You're welcome, Yuuki," I replied as we let go of the hug. She drinks up the blood from the vial and throws it aside. Then, I hold her hand. "Well, let's have our life together while it lasted."
Yuuki nodded as we continue to live on with our lives until death is onto us. Even so, this is the best revelation I could ever discover; my best friend is a vampire. I'm grateful for that. At least we have each other to remember by.
