Prompt: Reason
Def: Explanation of an action
I think it is safe to say Natsu makes simple taste sweet and complicated.
Natsu smirked as he threw himself at Gray, winding a fist back to punch the bastard in the face. Oh yeah, nothing like a good fight to get him revved up! When his ears heard voices asking if he was a monster, he inwardly replied no. Were they stupid? The only monsters he knew of were the ones hunted on jobs.
He was Natsu of Fairy Tail and he was hanging out at the guild. Why do they even ask?
He had friends who were always there when he got to the guild, they were there when he went out on jobs and they were there when he returned to say "I'm back!". When they were in trouble, he'd have their back. When they laughed, he'd laugh along or question the idiocy of it all. He was surrounded by chaos between comrades who were friends at heart.
Looking up from bulldozing through another set of wooden tables after being smacked aside by Erza, he took in his guild.
There was no way he was going to lose people he loved. He made damn sure of it.
That bastard Gray couldn't just die just because he felt like it would settle things. Erza couldn't die for a guy who made her cry. Lucy couldn't return to a home that didn't care about her like they did. Happy couldn't be sad no matter what!
Some would call it selfish, greedy, self-centered or downright unreasonable but he did have his reasons. He knew what his life would be like without them, and the pain from Igneel's disappearance reminded him why he fought so hard.
Lisanna too…
He didn't want to feel like that again, ever.
Plus he had a ball wrecking the guild, picking fights with Gray and Gajeel and terrorizing Lucy.
Knocking Elfman back, Natsu smirked as he got ready for his next opponent.
This was how he spent time with his family. Who really needs to explain that?
Fini
