Disclaimer: I do not own Gossip Girl or Chuck's scarf.

Chuck was sitting in his bedroom watching television and he was bored. His father wouldn't let him watch the shows the other ten years old boys would watch. No, Bart Bass wanted his son to look and act older than he was. No matter what Chuck would do, he would never be good enough for his father. So, he watched those boring shows in hope his father would dare look at him and tell him he was proud of him.

'' Charles, I have something I'd like to give you. '' Bart Bass was standing in the doorway with a small, red box in his hands.

'' What is it, father?'' Chuck asked, careful not too sound to eager.

Bart Bass motionned for Chuck to open the box and he did so. The billionaire's son frowned at the content.

'' It's a scarf'' Chuck said simply. He didn't want to sound disappointed, but why would his father give him a scarf? It wasn't precious or anything. Chuck's maids could have bought it for him without Bart's help.

'' Charles'' his father started, wrapping the piece of fabric around his son's neck. '' Women love well-dressed men. This scarf is very stylish and, I dare say, it suits you nicely. Wear it and, you'll see, you'll take a liking to it very quickly.''

That's what Chuck did the next day and he didn't regret it because, for once, Blair Waldorf smiled at him and told him he looked dashing with his scarf on. Chuck swore to always wear his scarf until Blair was his.
