Her eyes closed as she looked up at the sky, a dark pressure passing through her body as she stared… just stared. She couldn't really see but she knew that it was there, the sky. IT was the pact she made, the pact to the four that had her back all the time. Now it was broken. And it with that had caused her to lose all she ever really had in her life: Casey. Now… now she couldn't see and the world was so black.
Her eyes closed as she looked up at the world inside her, it was so cold, it was so … dead… there was no warmth here, nothing to keep her alive nothing to make her believe that this was right. Here her world was broken because nothing kept it alive and bright.
They had murdered her. They had taken her soul, her sight, her heart. Now what was she going to do when she was doing this? What was she going to do with this fragmented life she held? She couldn't do anything like this, not breath, love, nor … live.
"I hate them." She whispered suddenly snapping her eyes open to look, on the roof of the building with a bat, Casey's bat he cherished, in her hand. Her eyes swirled to look to her left and there laid in a pool of blood Leonardo, his eyes where closed in pain. Beside him a few feet away was Raphael. He was breathing horribly.
"I hate them." She whispered more roughly as she pushed herself into a sitting position and her hands tightened, blood dripping down the ripped fabric. "I hate them." Rougher were the words as she used the bat, Casey's beloved bat, to stand up and she looked each of the two over.
"April?" Leo whispered coughing and it sounded so weak. IT annoyed her so much. So weak. IT was them who killed Casey.
"I HATE THEM!" She spat violently raising the bat, Casey's bat… the bat Casey bought for her, signed by their favorite player… this was their bat… the bat he spent a week saving for, a week working hard to get her… it was his heart he poured into before he proposed. "YOU KILLED HIM!" she yelled louder. "YOU COULD HAVE SAVED HIM, LEO!"
Then silence as she closed her eyes her stance wavering as she felt dizzy. Her mind was shivering, her body weak. She didn't have the strength anymore. Tears trailed down the blood on her face as she cried. Cried out Casey's name.
"April?" Leo called again as he watched her. April opened her eyes to look at him but screamed as she saw him… Casey… She screamed as Leo slowly turned around and Raph looked over and up at him.
Casey grinned, "Oh, so weak, April… but wrong turtles." Leo's eyes grew wide as his head was ripped off and tossed over to two laughing brothers who one had caught the head and tossed it to the other. "Well, I do have to thank you though… you made it a bit easier."
"LEO!" Raph shouted trying to get up before one of this brothers, she couldn't see who it was, stood next to him laughing as their foot pressed against Raph's skull pressing down and Raph just screamed in pain before… nothing…
"No… no… Casey… no please, stop… no…" she repeated the same thing over again and again.
"Sorry, babe, but this is the nightmare you made." Casey's voice was the last she heard as everything went black then the color returned as she stared up into the sky, so black.
She closed her eyes, everything was black this way… everything could be forgotten and those fears could be wiped away. She'd wake up and go on with another day pretending that those nightmares never came. Those fears that the turtles and her husband tossed to her never existed.
"I hate them." She whispered startling herself awake as her world was thrown into darkness as another fear, 'nightmare', was tossed to her dreaming world.
