A is for Attic

Here's another one. Dedicated to you. Yes you, whoever is reading this.

Betty walked up the steps. It was the first time she had been at this house. It was stunning. The high glass windows let in lots of sunlight and highlighted all of the rooms. The house was fully furnished and everything about it was gorgeous. It was surprising it had been on the market for so cheap.

As she reached the stairs to the house, she saw a note posted on the door. "Follow the trail of sweets inside!" it said. She did as it said and opened the door.

Betty slowly climbed the stairs of the three storey house that was now hers. She went into the kitchen on the bottom floor and noticed another sign on the table. "Come to the bedroom on the second floor!"

The bedrooms were beautiful. They were elegant and unique. Perfect for Betty. She had fallen in love with them when she had first walked into the room. On the headboard of the four-poster bed, there was another note. "If you dare, come up to the attic!"

She climbed the stairs to the attic slowly, taking her time. She had seen it once before and it scared the bejeepers out of her. She figured it would be the best idea to go and check it out. Her brain was screaming out at her to stop. What if it was like in a horror film and someone was up there waiting to attack her.

Betty reached the door to the attic and opened it slowly. A red glow filled the room. It made it seem almost romantic. She walked through the door and gasped.

"Gio," she sighed happily. He was sat in a bow tie and that was it, on a bed surrounded by rose petals. He got up and handed her a single red rose.

"For you, my lady," he said huskily as he placed a kiss on her neck. Betty giggled as she wrapped her arms around his neck.

Betty unwound herself from Gio's body and looked around the rest of the attic. There was a table set up beside the window with more roses on it and dinner for the two of them.

"I figured I would welcome you home in the best way possible," Gio said as he shrugged, "I knew you didn't like it up here so I thought I would try and give you happy memories up here."

Betty launched herself at Gio. She knew that she would love coming into the attic from now on if it stayed like this.
