"Lord you people suck!" the curse cut into the entire discussion, stopping the conference immediately. They all stared at her, dumbfounded. "Can't even take an insult" she said boredly, her tone still harsh.

"Miss, you shouldn't ta-"

"I don't care Andrew" she snapped, making the older man back down. "You brought me here so we could be displayed like a trophy, like we are a thing. Yet we're the one whose making the money come in" she hit the desk with a fist, hard enough to make everyone jump. Everyone but the other 4 girls who just stared at her, agreeing, but suspicious.

"You do this every time, and all them fancy pants just look at us, then get excited like little children with new toys. And then you argue and debate and NOTHING EVER HAPPENS"

"Phoenix…." The girl nearest to the angry redhead, Phoenix, touched her arm lightly.

"Oh sod off sis' I'm leaving now" she said, shrugging off the hand as she stormed out.

"Phoenix…"

"What do you want Tails?" Phoenix said, looking over her shoulder in the reflection of the mirror as she brushed the fiery wig carefully.

"I want to know what's wrong" she answered, closing the door behind her before removing her own jet black wig. "You've been acting weird."

"You want to know why…." Phoenix muttered, putting down the comb and leaning on the desk, her green eyes downcast.

Tails set her wig on one of the heads in the corner, before sitting on a couch and watching the angry girl. Neither of them moved for a minute.

"I'm sick of this. It's all a lie, and I don't care anymore. My friends think they're in love with me, and they are. They think they're in love with Phoenix and they are. Two different people. But I'm just one person. It's all a lie!" she turned, glaring at the other girl in anger, the tears visible.

"Phoenix…" Tails started.

"No! Even you see me as someone else when I'm in a dressing room. Even though I'm standing right in front of you as me!"

"You're not the only one who has to go through it!" Tails snapped, standing up angrily.

"At least you're boyfriend is in love with both of you!" Phoenix snapped, standing over her. "I don't even have a boyfriend, but the one guy I like, the one who I actually thought about breaking my tradition for doesn't even like me! He likes Phoenix!" she screamed, before turning around and grabbing the wig.

"Is this what this is about? That stupid boy doesn't even know-"

"That stupid boy kissed me to get to Phoenix" she muttered, then put her wig on expertly. "He's not getting me"

"Phoenix, what are you…?" Tails said, about to follow as the red head strode out of the room then slammed the door.

But she was too late.
