Jess Mariano was new in town. His mother could no longer handle him so she sent him off to his uncle. She thought a strong male presence in his life was needed.
This was his first morning in Stars Hollow and he was hanging out at his uncle's diner; checking out the yahoos who inhabited the town.
Then a couple walked in. From his first glance Jess knew he was in love. The object of his desire was not dressed sexily, but was wearing loose fitting slacks and a pull over sweater. What struck Jess were the eyes. When the owner of those clear beautiful eyes glanced at him; he melted. Jess knew that he needed to be with that person.
Obviously the object of his desire was in a relationship. Jealousy raged through him when he watched them hold hands and kiss. Then and there Jess decided he would do anything to break them up. There was no way he was going to live the rest of his life knowing he did not try to win the affection of his heart's desire.
Jess felt a presence behind him and it was his uncle Luke. "Hey Luke, who is that couple sitting by the window?"
Luke looked up and turned to Jess. "That's Rory and Dean. Rory is the daughter of a good friend of mine. Why do you ask?"
Jess nodded at his uncle. "Thanks, no reason, I was just curious."
Jess drummed his fingers on the worn counter top and thought. "There has to be some way he could get object of his desire away from that blue eyed bitch.
