The gold band looked so foreign on his ring finger. She knew it belonged there but it almost didn't seem real. She took his hand in her own and upon closer inspection reread the words he had gotten engraved into the ring. Always and Forever stared back at her like the best promise she'd ever heard. Her brown eyes went to her own ring, the one she'd been looking at for nearly an hour. The diamond seemed to shine in the sunlight that had filled the room. Her engraving reading the same words that were on his ring. Just last night she had it slipped on her finger for the first time. It was unbelievable.

Her eyes went back to his hand and the wedding band on his finger. For a fleeting moment she thought of him as Peter Pan and this was him growing up. A tiny part of her still realized that he would never grow up and that's why she loved him.

She pulled his hand to her mouth and placed a kiss on his ring finger. She still couldn't wrap her head around the idea that they were married. This was the hand she had held last night as she said I do. This was the hand that she held as she danced her first dance as Mrs. Hermione Jean Weasley. His hand would be the one she would hold until they were old and grey, laughing over the past and talking about grandchildren. Her kiss seemed to wake him up a bit and his arms wrapped around her tiny waist and pulled her closer to him. It never ceased to amaze her how safe she felt in his arms. How, even though she had been through hell and back in life, if he just held her everything would be alright.

She could feel his fingers tracing patterns on her back and she snuggled into his embrace. Mrs. Hermione Weasley, she thought as a smile formed on her face, she quite liked the sound of that.

"Mornin' love," he mumbled his voice thick with sleep, "How's it feel to be Hermione Weasley?"

"Wonderful," She said with a smile before leaning up to kiss his cheek in good morning.

He let out a low laugh and placed a kiss on the top of her head, "Of course it does, you're married to a wonderful bloke."

"Yeah, I am." She responded a smile on her face. She knew he was teasing her but she didn't care in the slightest. "Mrs. Fred Weasley." She said meeting his gaze and her smile grew.

"Well aren't you lucky? You got to marry the most handsome guy around."

Hermione rolled her eyes and laughed at her husband's cocky comment, "You're ridiculous." Fred laughed at her response and pulled her closer to him. She let out a content sigh before snuggling back up to him. They didn't have to get up just yet, she thought briefly before sleep began to take her. Afterall, her favorite spot to be was in Fred's arms.
