I know, I know. Another one of these stories. But I couldn't help myself. I truly couldn't. I hope you can enjoy it regardless!
. . . . . .
The Prologue
His eyes never moved from the screen. He watched as the children were moved from the plane onto the beach. One was laid by the shore, another tucked in among the creepers. The stage was being set.
He leaned back in his chair. They had asked for this, in a way. They had signed up for the contest. They wanted to win an island vacation and have the "adventure of a lifetime". He was giving it to them.
The boy might be a bit problematic. He could tell that the boy was well researched on his little games and up to the challenge. Oh well. He wouldn't be much of a problem. Especially with his role.
He looked at them with something that could be mistaken for pity. Poor things. They would wake up tomorrow, with no idea where they were, who they were suppose to be, what anything meant, or even what they were going to be acting out. Hi smiled. But that was the beauty of the game.
He watched as his men crawled back in the plane. It meant everything was in it's place. He waited. There was a knock at a door. Someone entered. "Everything's ready, sir."
The man nodded. He put his coat on and look one last look at their figures before shutting off the power. The screen darkened, and so did his smile.
He walked out the door. Let the game begin.
