There are a lot of things in James and Lily's relationship that are obvious. She hates him. Obviously. He loves her. Obviously. She's sure he'll never change. Obviously. He'll have to give changing a try. Obviously. *Oneshot, LJ, all dialogue, slightly romantic

AN: Well, I'm not exactly sure where this came from, but I sort of like it. It's short and all dialogue, and it's not terribly romantic. It's just a conversation that I can see James and Lily having. Set at the end of their sixth year.

Obviously

"Hey Lily, wanna go to Hogsmeade with me tomorrow?"

"No. Obviously."

"You know I'll ask you again, right?"

"Obviously. And you know I'll say no again, right?"

"Obviously. And you know I'll never give up, right?"

"Obviously. And you know I'll always think you're crazy, right?"

"Obviously. And you know I'll always love you, right?"

"Doubtful."

"Lily, the correct answer is obviously."

"Obviously not."

"Oh?"

"Because I'm always right."

"Obviously."

"Exactly."

"Does that mean I'm always wrong?"

"Obviously."

"Nice to know what you think of me."

"I thought it was evident."

"Obviously."

"You sure you don't wanna come to Hogsmeade with me?"

"Obviously."

"Hmm."

"Hmm."

"You thinkin what I'm thinking?"

"Doubtful. What are you thinking about?"

"You. Obviously."

"Obviously."

"And what are you thinking about?"

"How annoying you are. Obviously.

"Obviously. Do you really think I'm annoying?"

"Obviously."

"And that I'm arrogant and big-headed?"

"Obviously."

"And you think I'll never change?"

"Obviously."

"If I did change, would you go out with me?"

"…Maybe."

"Good to know."

"Obviously."
