Monsters
We spend so long
Hiding and running
From the monsters under the bed.
We try to grow as fast.
And that's when they catch up to us.
They aren't the same creatures
You had to ask your parents to check for.
Their different from the ones you ran from as a kid.
These are more dangerous
And they leave deeper scares.
Monsters are Monsters.
They come in many different
Sizes, shapes, and forms.
As we grow so do
Our
Fears, dreams, and responsibilities.
These can be your new monsters.
The fear to fail.
They can stay at bay
And be kept away.
But their always there.
Monsters are everywhere.
It doesn't matter what age you are.
Just have hope.
And they'll stay away.
