Hello, CrushingViolets here. This is my first semi-Sirius Fanfiction. *Reader sees totally over-used joke. Quickly dislikes author.* I can't promise quick updates. I am under-aged and I live with my parents therefore I can and most likely will get grounded. I usually write five-hundred words per chapter, but I am planning on changing that. I am a somewhat new author and I write on my tablet. Mistakes are bound to happen and I apologize for them. I don't own Harry Potter.

Warnings in this chapter: Mcgonagall bashing.

"I hate him Marlene! I swear sometimes I think about using a certain unforgivable on him!"

Once again James Potter was up to his no-good pranks, except this time he had gone too far. Not only had he humiliated Lily, but he had purposely embarrassed her in front of the whole school. Those damn Maurauders had flung dung bombs at her the moment she walked into the great hall. Then, James had apologized and claimed that the bombs were for Slytherin first-years. Lily may not have liked most Slytherins but it was different doing that to someone your own age than to children who couldn't even fight back. So, with her dung covered fist, she punched James Potter right in his nose. She felt the sickening crunch aginst her knuckles. Mcgonagall had been furious, ignoring what the Marauders had done, she punished Lily by taking away fifty points from Gryffindor and two weeks of detention. It was out-wright favortism.

So now here she was, freshly clean and smelling liker her Lavender shampoo and bodywash, ranting at her only friend in Gryffindor. Marlene Mckinnon was the Scottish boy-crazy Gryffindor who was hopelessly in love with Sirius Black. She had golden straight blonde hair most girls dreamed of having and the baby blue eyes boys fantasized about, yet she was probably the shyest girl in Hogwarts.

Marlene,as sweet and naive as always, was looking at her friend in shock. "Lily, you-you shouldn't say such things. Pe-people might think you're Da-da-dark!" Marlene had a little bit of a stutter, slowly but surely, Lily was helping her overcome it. Believe it or not, she used to be a hundred times worse.

"Relax, Marly, I am not ruining my chance at becoming something better than that pig will ever be. It's just; no matter what he does he doesn't get punished like everyone else does and it isn't fair." Lily started to braid her bright red hair as tight as she could, her anger was showing through her movements. Marlene smiled at Lily and took Lily's braid into her small hands and began to softly comb out the knots with her soft fingers.

"Don't you wor-wor-ry Lily. We wouldn't want your red locks to grey. You are a-a better person than James Potter w-will ever be." Lily snorted.

" No one else seems to thinks so, Marly. I'm just a muggleborn after all." Marlene stared at Lily for a few seconds and then SMACK! Her hand hit Lily's left cheek.

"Never think that about yourself Lily Rose Evans, you are the smartest, bravest person I know!" It was a very rare and special moment when Marlene didn't stutter. Lily wasn't about to ruin it.

The two friends sat together for another hour or so; when a lightbulb went bright inside Lily's head. She sat upright off of Marlene's lap and shouted," I have an idea!"

This seemed like a good place to end it.
