What is this place?

The last thing he remembers is blacking out after fighting an Ursa with..."CARDIN!" he suddenly remember the events that unfolded and then immediately shot up and quickly looked around to find himself in a clearing somewhere in a forest without any signs of life not even scratched trees or holes from the fighting, "Hello!" as he was shouting he suddenly remembered he was alone in a forest without a weapon crap i really should think things through before i do something.

As he was grumbling to himself he heard the sound of twigs breaking behind him, so he quickly looked behind him to see a man wearing a red and black hoodie with red tentacle designs around it wait a minute did the tentacle just pulsate? as the man was walking towards him, he saw that the man was a bit shorter than him by a few inches maybe he's about 5'9 or 5'10 as he was remembering details about him the stranger suddenly ran towards him at a frightening speed easily covering the distance towards him in a few seconds Oh my Oum he's gonna kill me as he was thinking of his bad luck at meeting a murderous psychopath in the woods the stranger rushed PAST him.

As he was thinking if the stranger missed him by accident he suddenly heard the a very distinct growling behind him and quickly looked to see the stranger standing between him and a pack of beowolves, "Watch ou..!" as he was gonna warn the stranger, the stranger's hands seemed to turn into blades made of blood and metal what is that? is that his semblance?

"Aughh where the fuck am i?" he started looking around to see he was in a forest "I swear i was on top of the skyscraper fighting against Heller" maybe the asshole brought me here to suffer some more as he pushed himself up and started looking around to pick a direction to head towards but he heard a scream in the distance. "Hello!" he looked at the direction of he scream and started walking towards it and when he reached the edge of a clearing he saw a young boy who looked to be around the age of 17 and had blonde hair and it seemed that he was taller than him by a few inches and he was just standing in the middle and it looked like he was mumbling to himself.

As he was deciding how to approach the boy, he just decided that maybe just walking towards him would be better so he intentionally stepped on a twig to alert the boy, and true to his thought the boy turned towards him and stared at him, but as he was walking towards the boy his extreme hearing heard several silent growls behind the boy and so he stared at the space behind him hoping to see what it was. Shocked was an understatement because what he saw behind the boy were creatures similar to wolves but were pitch black and had mask on their would be faces Are they other experiments from blacklight? is that boy somehow connected to them?

As he was approaching the boy slowly he saw that the boy was focused on him and likely didn't know about the wolves behind him. So he ran past the boy and stood between him and the wolves and placed biomass into his right hand and turned it into a blade. (Alex Mercer in this story will be a fully upgraded Mercer and will also possess the same abilities as Heller)

As he was standing between the wolves and the boy, one of the wolves gained enough courage and lunged at him but was quickly killed by a swift slash from his blade. It seems that they aren't very strong

The pack showed a slight hesitation and shock at how fast the man was able kill one of them, and maybe as they decided attacking one by one wouldn't work they all rushed him together but was stopped when the man's hand once again shifted into a shield shocking both the wolves and the boy, but that was all Alex needed as he sent biomass into his arms turning them into tendrils and aimed at the middle one and shot his biomass forward and into the wolf and as the wolf burst apart spreading it's remains several more tendrils came out of the mutilated body of the wolf and attached to the other wolves around it and swiftly pulling them closer essentially crushing all of them.

As he looked at the remains he remembered the boy and turned around to see the boy slack jawed and face full of awe staring at him and the wolves.

"H-How did you do that? W-Was that your semblance? How did you handle those grimm so quickly?" as soon as the fighting finished the boy approached him and started asking question quickly. Grimm huh? is that what those wolves were called? and what the fuck is a semblance?

"Listen kid you gotta get out of these forest, there might be more of these things hiding around." he warned the kid so he would leave so he could consume the remains but was surprised to see the body of the grimm things were gone and so he sighed and started moving towards the forest but was stopped by the kid speaking up.

Jaune's POV

"PLEASE TEACH ME!" When he saw the man was walking away he suddenly just shouted. 'Huh? what did i just say! did i just ask a possibly insane psycopath for training!' as jaune was panicking at what he just said the man spoke up turning around to face him.

"And why would i do that? what could you give me that would benefit me huh?" the man spoke with no emotion but jaune had no idea what to give the man, he was lost so he couldn't tell him where vale was or if they were even in vale and it's not like he could help him either because it seemed that the man was strong enough to survive on his own and the man seemed like someone who preferred his own company.

"How about this kid you tell me things i don't know about and i train how about that huh?" Jaune was shocked that the man was the one who gave him the offer but he had a few questions

"What kind of things?"

"Don't get any strange ideas kid, just normal stuff like what the fuck is a semblance" he was surprised by the man's request because a semblance is common knowledge throughout Remnant so why would he need him to teach him about that, but he accepted it nonetheless.

"Semblance is kind of like a special ability that you get when you unlock your aura"

"What's Aura?"

"Uhm, Aura is kind of like your soul becomes real and you can use it to strengthen you or protect you, see?" Jaune explained as he hit his arm and a thin forcefield appeared before he could hit his skin.

"Okay kid" the man looked up and saw that the sun was high and they might be able to find civilisation before nightfall

"Come on we're wasting daylight, Walk and talk kid"

And so a hooded man and a teenager walked disappeared into the treeline.
