He knew what he was doing. He didn't like it, but it was necessary. He'd spent four long months trying to get his brother back. When he couldn't he'd taken the only road left.
He had to kill Lillith. He'd make her pay for what she'd done to his brother. He knew now that she couldn't hurt him, but he didn't seem able to touch her either. He needed to be stronger, and Ruby had shown him the only way to do that.
But it was ok. It was a means to an end, nothing more.
He was in control.
