'Why didn't i see it coming? All the signs where right there in my face yet i completely ignored it'
Everything seemed to be moving in slow motion, but he knew it would be over in a matter of seconds. "Come on. Come On! Stay with me Dammit!" There was so much blood, it was everywhere! Not all the Gauze in the world could make it stop. His vision was blurred due to the hot salty tears that threaten to spill over. 'Why? Why would he do this?!' The flat line barely registered in his brain. All he could hear was his own frantic heartbeat in his ears.
"Dr. Cox"
"No! Don't Do this! Clear!" The man's body in front jumped, but didn't react. "Argh! Clear!" Again, nothing. The woman next to him fell to the floor sobbing. Her dark hair falling in front of her face, sticking to it. Gut wrenching sobs escaped her mouth. She didn't move when the machine hit the floor and kicked around. He fell to his knees, grasping the now dead man's hand crying silently. His tears mix with the blood on his hands.
Blood he'd never be able to wash off.
"We are gathered here to day, to honor the life of John Dorian. Loving friend, amazing doctor"
That was all Dr.Cox heard, next thing he knew he was on his couch with a glass of scotch. Later that night a half empty bottle lay next to him. His tear stained face looked almost peaceful. He dreamed of a man he knew. A man whose smile could melt the ice off his heart. A man whose laugh could make everything wrong in the world right again. That night he dreamed of the man he loved, who he let slip through his fingers, because of his stupid pride.
