Summary: Vossler stares at the most beautiful thing he's ever seen.

I hold you in my arms, so delicate and small. I'm not wearing my armor so that I do not hurt you as I hold your tiny body against mine. You're making cute little gurgling sounds and try to put your hand in your mouth. I laugh at your innocence and pull it out gently, but you grab my finger and suck on it. I just can't help but smile.

I sit down in a chair near the window and I get comfortable there. You've had a long day, but you just don't want to sleep, you are just so curious at the world around you that you have no desire to sleep. I lean down and kiss your head that's got a layer of green on it. You coo and gurgle more waving your arms around trying to get out of your blanket that holds you tight and keeps you warm.

I hush you silently and looked your still sleeping mother. At least one of you is sleeping, not that I blame her. It took a lot of energy to bring you into this world little one, and one day you will learn to appreciate it when you have children of your own.

You get a little fussy now as you struggle to stay awake. I just shake my head and rock you in my arms ever so gently. I start humming softly to you, it's a song that I learned from my mother and she said to me if I was ever blessed with a child, then I should sing this song to stop it from fussing.

I was never so blessed than this day when I first saw you in the arms of the nurse. She smiled and handed you to me and I've never seen a more beautiful thing in the world than you. My little boy. You look so much like your mother but you have my eyes. I always knew that was going to happen but no matter who you look like little one you will always carry the Azelas legacy.

The name that we bequeathed to you little one, Avalar Reddas Azelas. Avalar was the name of the first Azelas of the Raithwall age, courtesy of your mother for finding that out about my family. Reddas, that was to be your first name but I had talked your mother out of it. He was a noble sky pirate that your mother looked up to like a father, it was only fitting to give you his name to honor him. Azelas, wear that name with pride my son, you are now the next line of my blood and for that you should be proud.

You are finally asleep and I smiled at you. I slowly get up with you in my arms and lay you down in the crib in your mothers room, but as soon as I put you down you whine and fuss. I stare at you for a moment and pick you up again. You calm down almost instantly as you cuddle into my chest. So you miss your father's arms and his warmth little one? Or is it that you feel safe in my arms in this new, strange, and dangerous world that you've come into? Fear not my son you are safe and you have no reason to fret. You father's here and he's not letting you go.

I sit back down in the recliner chair and lay back. You sleep on my chest sleeping soundly. I have my hand on your back as I feel you breathe. I love you Avalar, sleep well little one, and please, let me sleep as well.
