Shattered Bonds
The day was dark as clouds filled the sky. Bodies were lain on the streets of the Hidden Leaf Village. The death toll had exceeded half the village's population and was continuing to rise as more bodies, or what looked like the remains of bodies were found. The stench of burning rubble and blood filled the still air.
Naruto's eyes had opened upon this scene. When he woke up he was lying on the dirt in the middle of Konoha with blood splashed all over his clothes and all around him. To his horror he found the bodies of various Jonins and ANBU's lying next to him also. But one thing was different. They were all dead.
As Naruto continued to look around, the more bodies he found on the streets. From genins to villagers it didn't matter their bodies littered the streets.
'What the hell happened here?' Naruto thought to himself as he checked the pulse of various bodies. All of which were dead.
As he wandered the village the scenes became more horrific as mutilated bodies and amputated arms were scattered throughout the village.
But then as Naruto had turned a corner he saw a man in a jonin flak jacket standing by a group of bodies. As Naruto walked closer he recognized the man as Hatake Kakashi his former sensei.
When Naruto uttered Kakashi's name he turned around and he started to stare into the face of the blonde. Fear was clearly etched on his face as his sharingan eye was revealed. The bodies that lay right next to Kakashi seemed to be a group of academy students which Naruto didn't recognize. But still to have been murdered at that young of an age, your whole life still ahead of you, was a tragic thing to witness.
"Sensei…What the hell happened here! Why are all these people dead! Who did this?" Naruto asked as rain started to drizzle upon Konoha.
"Naruto…" Kakashi said. His voice seemed strained as if he were injured.
"Sensei tell me! WHAT THE HELL HAPPENED HERE!" Naruto shouted. Kakashi flinched at his words. Naruto had never seen his former sensei act like this before.
"…Naruto..I ca-an't say." Kakashi stammered out. The rain started to pour down louder and harder now and both Naruto and Kakashi were beginning to become drenched in the rain.
"Kakashi tell me now! We might be able to stop them!" Naruto continued to shout. "JUST TELL ME WHO THE FUCK DID THIS!"
"…N-naruto…" Kakashi said hesitating. "……It was you…"
