Just a Simple, Simple Kiss

Naruto and Hinata

One-Shot

She sat all by herself right across the one restaurant she never had the courage to enter. For once in her life, she wanted to change, all for the better. Thoughts of seeing herself as strong, fierce and most definitely not shy, would race through her mind. Those thoughts somehow gave her the courage to be at the place she was at today. Fiddling with her fingers was almost a prediction that was to always be correct. Since she was doing it now, she began to have second thoughts on whether or not she could go through with her small plan. That plan was to enter the ramen shop, and just talk to him. The boy who had truly captivated her heart. Just thinking this happy fact made her blush. The heat to her cheeks rose, while that certain boy flowed through her mind. Her breathing hitched, as she felt her heart pound against her chest rapidly. Then suddenly, breaking the lovely sounds of nature, she gave a small hiccup.

The first thought that ran through her head was to immediately get up and run. Until she heard him yell out her name and give her one of his cute smiles. Of course, she should have known. With his fox like hearing, he definitely would have heard her even she was sitting on top of the Hokage Mountain. She stiffened as he approached her and took a small seat right next to her.

"Hinata, are you okay? You know, since you hiccupped and all..," He asked, turning to look at her. He noticed her light pink cheeks and smirked as she hiccupped again. Grabbing her hand, he hoped it would make her stop hiccupping. She stood completely still, feeling his hand on top of hers made butterflies fly all around in her head and stomach. He felt just how gentle and soft her petite hands were in his, wondering just how soft they would be against his lips. Bringing them up to his lips, he ran each finger across, loving the touch. Before he knew it, he had placed a kiss right on her hand. When it struck him what he had just done, he instantly pulled away, cursing himself for acting like a complete creep in front of Hinata.

"I'm sorry, I didn't kno-" He was cut off as she kissed him. Their whole visions went fuzzy. The kiss was quick and chaste.

"I'm fine, thank-you, Naruto-Kun," She spoke softly, as she got up and ran away. Still, he sat there, shocked at the action she had just did. Never had he thought she would be so strong, and not stutter as he held her hand. Never would he think she would be so fierce and not faint as he kissed her hand. But most of all, never would he picture her not being shy and kissing him. Actually, he didn't mind it one bit. He didn't mind getting to know this new Hinata. She was still her kind and cute self, and he liked that about her. Yeah, he liked that simple, simple kiss.
