He was like the sun; vibrant, colorful, and full of life. A beacon of light in the dark world of the shinobi. Everything about him drew you in, from his spiky blonde hair to his sapphire eyes that were always ablaze with a raging inner fire.

And just like the real sun, his sun was always hard to get close to because he was always orbited. His personality pulled people to him, his friends, his most precious people, were always around him. The pink haired girl, Sakura, was closest; a few more were also granted that privilege. They were his family, they helped each other, loved each other, they belonged with each other; and it made him burn with jealousy.

He was always watching, forever stuck on the outside, following those that followed the sun, his sun.

Jade eyes watched from the shadows, orbiting those that orbited the sun, following on the outskirts of the group. He was like the moon, always pursuing the sun, but never getting close enough to reach it, forever kept away.

The moon was a solitary being, cold and unemotional, but a chance meeting with the sun changed all that. He began to experience feelings and the warmth given off by the sun seeped into his cold heart.

And now, watching his most precious person interact so flippantly with others, looking so content and radiating warmth and love, the moon knew he had to act.

A smirk crossed his face as he walked toward the joyful group, knowing his appearance would startle the others.

Gaara walked towards the group with purpose, nothing would deter him now. Naruto was his and he was going to make damn sure everyone knew it.
