Best Friends
a/n: so this is just a simple one shot, that is poetic for Nate and Mitchie,it has two different meanings, it can be viewed as them discussing their friendship, or Mitchie admitting her feelings for Nate and him being a stupid guy and not realizing it. Enjoy :)
"Nate! Hey!" Mitchie Torres shouted to her best friend Nate Williams.
Nate and Mitchie have been best friends since Mitchie began to date Shane, one of Nate's best friend's after her first summer at Camp Rock. Every since they bonded over some guitar playing and song writing they have been inseparable in a friendly way.
"Hey Mitch, what's up?" Nate asked his long haired and heavily banged best friend as he walked up to her.
It was once again time for Camp Rock, and the two were enjoying one of their many song writing assignments for their song writing class. Brown had decided this year to pair people up, and when Nate had been accidentally put into the class, he just went with the flow of it, instead of teaching his own, separate class.
"I wanted to show you this, I wrote it earlier, do you think it would work for lyrics at some point?" Mitchie asked her best friend with a smile that made her brown eyes shine with happiness.
"Well, why don't you read it then silly." Nate replied with one of his seldomly seen smiles.
"Alright, alright, okay so here it is. It's called friendship." Mitchie began. She then cleared her throat, brought the piece of paper she was holding up close to her face, and began to read...
"Ever since I met you,
we have never run out of things to
talk about.
Whether we're joking around,
teasing each other,
or talking about random crap;
We've never run out of things to say.
Through the ups
and the downs.
Through the break-ups,
and the make-ups.
Through the truth,
and the lies.
One thing has remained the same:
us.
We're like the sun and the moon;
the rain and the clouds;
the spoon and the fork;
we just fit together,
perfectly.
But what did you expect?
We are best friends."
When Mitchie finished reading her poem her voice faded out. She knew that the poem meant more then Nate would ever pick up on. It wasn't really about their friendship, it was about the feelings that she felt for her best friend, and her boyfriend's best friend that she shouldn't. She hadn't chosen to fall in love with Nate instead of Shane, it was just, Nate understood her more than Shane did, and Shane would never get that, and she didn't think that Nate would either...
"Wow, Mitch, that's really good, we could totally make that into a song lyric, no problem." Nate said with another smile.
Mitchie never noticed one thing about her and Nate' relationship, that Nate felt exactly the same way about her that she did about him. Nate was the one who made sure he was there for Mitchie when Shane wasn't, so that way, when the relationship came tumbling down, Nate would be the one to catch her, and then at that moment Mitchie would realize that she was really in love with Nate. The only problem was, Nate never realized that Mitchie felt the same way, and Mitchie never realized that Nate felt the same way.
"Yay! Let's get started then." Mitchie said with her huge smile.
She knew that her and Nate wouldn't ever happen, but she was still hoping their would be that one little chance, that maybe, just maybe, Nate did lover her... if she only knew...
a/n: so that is the end of my second one shot (did I mention I did them both in the course of thirty minutes? I am very proud of myself :) ) I am going to at some point write a fully fledged Mitchie and Nate story, don't worry, but right now you'll just have to do with my poetic one shots. Lolz. I hope you all enjoyed this. And remember to review :)
xoxo,
Lexi :)
