The frost hovered in the air and stayed like a bad smell over Hogwarts. Cracking the window panes and nipping at people's finger tips. The white crystal snow laid over the land's like a blanket. Snow covering direction signs, several of the third years got lost with their first time going to hogsmeade. One single breathe came out heavy, the coldness caught with your breathe and turned it white like Cigarette smoke coming out of your mouth. Rose Weasley clung onto her hat as the cold wind swished through her long ginger curly hair and whirling in her ears, making a whistling sound. Rose took her orange knitted gloves out of her pocket and put them over her red raw, frostbitten fingers, turning slightly blue. The frosty air nipped at her nose turning it like Rudolf's. As she walked across a wide field, her welly's squelched through the snow and into the thick boggy mud under it she headed for an oak tree on the other side of the land. The branches were covered in frozen snow and icicles hanging from the tips. Rose clinged onto her coat and pulled it tighter around her, even though it didn't make her warmer. Rose was meters away from the tree when she could feel a cold deep breathe on her neck and footsteps crunching in the snow behind her getting louder and louder as they came nearer. Rose looked to the floor and saw a black tall shadow getting nearer to her. She couldn't think who it would be, I mean she was supposed to be in second lesson, she couldn't think of anyone she knew who would skive class, but then, it came to her. "BOO!" She jumped and gasped as she felt someone scream in her ear and grab her waist. She turned around with her arm in the air. SMACK, her hand wacked the person in the face, then she realised. Scorpios. "Oh, my goodness, Scorpios, don't scare me like that." Rose was gasping for breath after practically being giving a heart attack. "What are you doing here?" She added. Scorpios was holding his nose and squealing with pain. "Well?" Rose snapped.
"Well, you know, it's not like you to bunk of class, so I got suspicious and I got worried in case you were in trouble or something." Scorpios replied trying to sound as innocent as possible. Rose smiled warmly and looked at the ground. "Why don't you come in? It's freezing out here." Scorpios advised Rose as he rubbed his hands together and breathed on them trying to warm them up. "I just needed some space, a bit of peace and quiet." She told Scorpios. He walked his way forward slowly towards her. The good thing was, she didn't move, she didn't move away, she stood there comfortably. By this point Scorpios was an inch away from her face. Rose could feel his cold breathe on her face and neck. "Don't stop." Rose whispered in his ear, it felt like the rest of the world froze, like it was just her and Scorpios trapped in one of her dreams, a dream that she didn't want to wake from. Scorpios placed his lips on hers and kissed her lightly, he slipped his hand on the back of her neck as he deepened the kiss, Rose pushed harder onto his lips. Scorpios edged his tongue in her mouth slowly. Before they both new it they were snogging in the bitter coldness. Rose pushed away panting for breathe and smiled cheekily up at him. Rose could feel a spark inside of her heart. The spark ignited as Scorpios touched her hand, fireworks were exploding inside of her. Then it seemed that reality took over her mind. "We can't do this, it isn't right." Rose shook her hand away from his and stepped away from him. Scorpio's looked at her. "We can." He struggled. Rose shook her head at him, then walked past him heading back for the castle. "I won't give up on you, Rose Weasley!" Scorpios shouted into the distance at Rose, who froze, then just carried on walking as if she never heard a thing.
