Author's Notes: Written as my third person log for my Seiya application to polychromatic. Simply a drabble delving into the thoughts running through Seiya's head when he was standing on stage in episode 190, hoping that Usagi would be there to hear his story. Unrequited Usagi/Seiya, implied Fighter/Kakyuu.

Disclaimer: I own nothing. Takeuchi Naoko owns it all. I'm just having a little fun...

Offstage

Seiya knows they're singing for their Princess. He knows that as long as she hides from them, Kinmoku will remain a wasteland, dead and barren. He knows all of this, yet he is going to sing for Odango's sake as well. Just this once.

On each side of him, Yaten and Taiki strike their poses.

For how long have they done this now - singing with brilliance to let her hear she's not alone; that they're looking for her?

Too long. It's been too long and she still hasn't answered... maybe she's really -

Closing his eyes as he strikes his own pose, red rose ready and mike raised above his head, Seiya doesn't allow himself to finish the thought. He had felt her scent. She is close. He knows it.

Even though he's got used to feeling Tsukino Usagi's presence - her gentle warmth - where Sailor Star Fighter used to sense Princess Kakyuu, he can't betray her by letting himself even think it possible. That she's dead.

Because she is the reason why he wants to tell Odango his story. Is his Princess. Galaxia will eventually come for this planet as well, rural as it might be. If she succeeds in her evil scheme, Earth will be destroyed and maybe (this time) their Princess won't be able to escape... maybe Odango will get hurt...

They need Sailor Moon's help. Seiya's sure of it. He believes in her light. She's just like his Princess... So alike. Yet different.

His Princess wasn't prone to throwing fits at Sailor Star Fighter's teasing - like Odango does at Seiya whenever his arrogance clashes with her sweetness. Neither did his Princess blush or adopt the cutest look of confusion like Odango does. At the mere thought, Seiya feels the corner of his mouth curl in a grin.

His Princess emitted the same all-embracing warmth as Sailor Moon, but she never quite made his (her) heart beat like this.

That's why...

He looks up and sees the shine of Odango's Star Seed as vividly as had it been extracted from her body.

He will protect her at all costs. He believes in her.

Lowering his microphone, Seiya smirks.

Showtime.
