The Downfall of Mungojerrie

Chapter 1: Rumours Spread

"Oh Alonzo" The Rum Tum Tugger groaned "What am I going to do?" Alonzo turned to Tugger, they were both on the yards tire, looking at the depressed tribe "What?" Alonzo asked in confusion, Tugger sighed "My brother has invaded this tribe and for once, he won." It was true, Macavity did attack the tribe in agression. There were a lot of injuries, and even some deaths as well. "Munkustrap has ran away...my dad is dead..." Tugger felt guilt run down his body after mentioning Old Deuteronomy "and...Rumpleteazer is..." He didn't finish, the tribe was so silent, mentioning either Mungojerrie or Rumpletezer audibly made the cats growl in pain and anger. Rumpleteazer had been killed at the hands of Macavity, however, some suspect Mungojerrie to be the one who killed her. "Do you think Jerrie killed Teazer?" Tugger whispered to Alonzo "no..." Alonzo replied "they were so close, they were siblings, he would never think of such a thing." No one had seen Mungojerrie since the attack, some thought he may have gone back to Macavity, in reality, he locked himself in what used to be his and Rumpleteazer's den, now it is just his.

It became night very quickly. The junkyard was soon silent, no one was in sight. Mungo slowly unlocked and opened the door of his den, seeing the yard for the first time in 2 days. He looked around to see he was the only one out there, or so he thought. He went to the centre of the junkyard and got out a piece of paper, it was lyrics to a song he had written. He cleared his raspy throat and began to sing.

Under the water,
It's cold and it's grey.
My torrid autumn,
Another season decays.
Open up the Hollow,
And my walls come down.
I tell you it's a problem,
Just when no one's around.
But then,

I know what's wrong,
God, you complicated everything.
I know you're gone, gone, gone,
This is where I will draw a line.

I will draw my line.

Burning my cathedrals',
Cause I don't pray anymore.
Look at all of these people, Tragic little people,
They smile and then they don't know what for.
But then,

I know what's wrong,
God, you complicated everything.
I know you're gone, gone, gone,
This is where I will blur my line.

I will blur my line.

Our houses are haunted, Dark and deserted,
They're made of my secrets and shame.
Baby I want it I know I'm not worth it,
I can't even tell you my name.
But then,

I know what's wrong,
God, you complicated everything.
I know you're wrong,
God, you took it all away from me.
I know you're gone, gone, gone,
This is where I will cross my line.

I am crossing my line.

By the end of it he was in tears. He collapsed to the ground sobbing. He was sobbing so loudly that he didn't hear footsteps (or pawsteps) come up behind him. He felt a paw on his shoulder and tensed up, looking through his watery eyes to see Victoria "W-what do y-you want?" He choked. Victoria sat down "That was beautiful Jerrie" She smiled "thanks..." Jerrie said, drying his stinging eyes "I don't believe you were the one that caused the death of your sister" She said, wrapping an arm around Jerrie, she looked at him "When did you last sleep?" She asked, concerned "Two days ago" Jerrie replied, the bags under his eyes showed that he hadn't slept in a while. Unknown to the two cats, another was spying on them...

There is chapter one complete, the song is "From Can to Can't" by Corey Taylor. It is a great power ballad. Write a review for suggestions on what you want to see, I might add it into this story!
