Silver's head ached like hell. He had stopped Iblis...he had saved the future...now everything will be peaceful...but then why did he continue to feel so miserable? Silver himself knew the answer to that question right away: Blaze. She had sacrificed herself to save their future. She had sacrificed herself...to save him. Tears began to pour from Silver's big wide eyes. 'Oh god...Blaze...'

As he stumbled through the wreckage of the burning city, Silver thought about Blaze's last words as she was warped into another dimension, taking Iblis with her. 'She said I was naïve...but she liked that about me. What...what does she mean by that? Is she...was she...in love with me or something?' Silver clutched his head in confusion and let out a low groan. This was getting to all be a bit too much for him.

Glancing around, Silver could see huge rays of light breaking through the large storm clouds, covering the ruined city with sunshine. It would have been pretty beautiful if there were more than around 5000 people left on Earth. Silver hated this feeling of disappoint, especially since they just won against Iblis! It's times like this that he wished he was old enough to drink.

In both of Silver's palms were the two Chaos Emeralds he had to use to seal away Iblis...and Blaze. He stared at the glimmering diamonds like they were disgusting pieces of trash. Silver let out a furious cry as he tossed the Chaos Emeralds to the ground and kicked them to the side, sending them both crashing into a pile of garbage. Feeling like a huge load has been taken off his shoulders, Silver walked off...only to run back for the Chaos Emeralds a few minutes later.

'These two shitty things ARE the last connection I have with Blaze...' Silver thought pathetically as he cleaned off the emeralds and thrust them into his pockets. Now, he was just a poor pathetic white hedgehog, all alone in the ravaged world he risked his life saving. And...he missed Blaze more than anything else. He really wished things didn't have to have had ended that way...

'My life sucks. I lose the girl I love and I'm stuck with a huge city that's been completely decimated...what a great prize..sheesh...'

As Silver continued to drag himself through the city, the sun slowly began to set...
