RUINED SURPRISES
brini (my friend) recently got me a silver ring, everytime I put it on I feel like I'm part of some weird cult .I was thinking of D. Gray-man...and my ring..and it turned into this. Enjoy!
Allen was feeling in a bit of a playful mood. It wasn't like him, he knew. It was dangerous, he was aware. But he really felt like it.
Maybe he had eaten a bit too much sugar?
He felt like annoying Kanda. He was pretty sure the older boy wouldn't be as harsh like he was with Lavi...at least, he hoped...
He went skipping into Kanda's room. "Hey there Yuu-chan!" he called, startling the exorcist out of what was most likely a peaceful sleep.
"How many times must I talk before anyone listens?! It's not Yuu, it's Kanda!" the irritable boy threw a pillow at his face. "Now go away and let me sleep!"
Allen closed the door, watching as Kanda turned back over, trying to sleep. He decided that since he had never been into Kanda's room before, it was worth rummaging around, even at the risk of being maimed. He went to the bed side table, sending the dozing Kanda a sneaky look. "Now let's just see what Kanda's got hidden, huh?"
he opened the drawer, and he was shocked to find it a mess. Kanda always seemed like a neat and orderly person. But the mess in his drawer was unbelievable. It wasn't horrific, no, but it was still unbelievable. There were pocky boxes, a couple of news paper clippings, pictures of friends, Post cards, A collectable Winnie the pooh sticker (huh? Allen asked at that one), a couple of books on Alchemy and necromancy and a pair of leather gloves.
He leafed through the items. Soon he came to the back of the drawer where there was a wad of news paper clippings shoved in the corner. Everything else seemed normal (save for the fact that it was a mess) but that one little wad was suspicious.
"Now, what's this?" Allen asked, prying the clippings apart. Slowly, he revealed a black velvet boxed, wrapped with the utmost care in a red ribbon.
"YOU IDIOT! DON"T TOUCH THAT!!!" Kanda exploded. He grabbed the little black box from Allen's hands.
Allen smiled slyly at him. "It's a ring box." he stated with a little laugh. He laughed harder when Kanda's pale cheeks darkened. "Who's it for? Linali?" Kanda smirked.
"Moyashi, you can be so stupid. You went and ruined the surprise." he handed the velvet box to Allen. "I was planning to give this to you on your birthday. But since you were being so nosy, I have to give it to you now."
"What are you planning on doing? Asking to marry me?" that comment received a smack to the face.
"I'm finally being 'friendly' and this is how you treat me. Fine I can take it back." Kanda stuck out his hand for the box back. He was still blushing though.
"No no. I like it. It's from Kanda after all!" he grinned and opened the little black box. 'From one friend to another' was engraved on the inside of the silver ring. And the little card it said 'but I want to be more than friends...' "You're right. This would make a better birthday gift. But I really like it. It is from Kanda, after all."
