Chapter 1: The Void

The world was black but there was a significant echoing sound from Link's footsteps.

With no idea where he was in this dark all encompassing void, he stopped.

"I think I hear something." He said, looking behind him. Zelda, who was following his footsteps stopped as well, holds up her hand, halting Chase and Raina in their tracks.

"I hear it too... What is that?" Zelda said, cupping her ears and closing her eyes. "I swear... It sounds like... Someone who didn't heed the warning in the story description."

Raina gasped.

"You don't mean... Someone... Is here?" She sputtered in disbelief. Chase began shaking his head.

"So this is why we were dragged here?" Chase said, frustration coating his tone. "A reader clicked the link and summoned us to, what, a black hole?"

Raina gripped Chase's forearm in fear.

"But... The first story isn't finished yet." She whispered, her voice quivering.

In unison, Link, Zelda, Chase, and Raina look at you angrily.

Yes, you, the reader.

"So, I'm sure you can read, but uh." Link started, drawing out the Master Sword, pointing it at you threateningly. "The person who created our world, or who you would call 'the author' is rewriting our entire story."

"Ch-Chase, I'm scared... It's so dark... and Cold... I wanna go back." Raina began to cry.

Chase held Raina close.

"There, there, Raina... I'm sure after the person who brought us here finishes gaping at us, they will go back to the first story."

"It's a shame though isn't it." Zelda said, bringing out a cup of tea out of nowhere. "Going back to the beginning, but then again I think we all said many foolish things... It's almost as if our memories were created by someone who was a teenager who left for 6 years." She sipped her tea coyly.

"I'm sure our lives will start over and everything will flow a lot smoother." Link said, patting Zelda sympathetically on her shoulder. He looks back at you.

"What? You're still here?" He said throwing up his hands. "What are you waiting for? Take us back!"

"Where are we going again?" Raina whispered, her eyes wide.

"Rise of Ganon." Chase answered.

"Ooooh."

Zelda threw her cup and points at you.

"Enough of this!" She pressed her fist against her chest and closed her eyes. Whispering incoherent prayers. There's a blinding flash of light, and all of a sudden, you appear back to the search page and begin typing in Zelda and the Rise of Ganon. The black void disappears before your very eyes.
