"Red Demons Dragon, destroy Yusei's monsters. DEMON METEOR." Shield Wing and Rapid Warrior were engulfed in flames. "Stardust's effect activates. Protect them Stardust, Victim Sanctuary." Stardust Dragon sped forwards, grabbing both of Red Demons arms and covered him and himself with his wings. The flames under Yusei's monsters dimmed and vanished, as the two dragons vanished from the field.
"You know…I'm getting sick of that constant fighting between us two." Red Demons Dragon landed next to Stardust Dragon, who had been resting on a hill. Stardust got up to make some room for Red Demons. "It's that whole 'I want to proof I'm the best' attitude of Jack's." Red Demons sat down next to Stardust. "I know, but I can't exactly tell him that he should stop those quarrels with Yusei because I don't feel like fighting you anymore. Though Jack could solve it the same way as he does with Crow and Bruno: punching him." Stardust shot him a glare but kept his mouth shut. After this it went quiet. They both just sat there enjoying the sun that was shining brightly.
A few hours later, they had both lied down, stretched out. Slowly but surely the drowsiness took over and they fell asleep.
"Hey, wake up." The sound of Red Demons voice slowly brought Stardust back from his slumber. Stardust opened his eyes and was starring right into the eyes of Red Demons, whose head was a few inches away from his own. Slowly a blush appeared on Stardust's cheek. At that moment Red Demons looked away and gave Stardust space to get up. Stardust sat up, glancing over to Red Demons, who now was with his back to him. It all felt a bit awkward to him, waking up like that and now he was sitting with his back towards him now.
"…Did you mean what you said earlier?" Red Demons looked over his shoulder at Stardust. "What do you mean?" Stardust moved a bit anxious, not daring to make eye contact again. "I mean, about what you said of not wanting to fight me anymore…did you mean that?"
The response took some time, Red Demons had turned his head back again and was now starring at the sun who was setting. "Yes…I did mean it. It doesn't feel right, fighting someone who you care about." He glanced over his shoulder to Stardust, whose cheeks had a light red blush on them. Stardust opened his mouth, he wanted to say something but the words didn't really come. Red Demons turned his head back and starred at the horizon. "Hey…you look cute when you're sleeping." Stardust looked up, a confused look on his face. Red Demons was still looking away from him. "…What did you just say?" Red Demons turned around with a grin on his face. "You heard me; I said that you look cute while you're sleeping." Stardust looked flustered, quickly glancing down. "What?...What do…I… I mean…uhm…thanks." He slowly looked up again, right into the eyes of Red Demons, they locked. This time, neither of them made an attempt to breaking it.
Slowly, their heads moved to each other and rubbed them against each other's necks. Suddenly Stardust felt the arms of Red Demons around him, as he was pulled into a hug. Stardust put his arms around Red Demons and let it rest on the joints of his wings. They sat there, enjoying the touch of each other. "Eeh…does this mean…that you like me?" Stardust immediately blushed and turned away his head again as he had asked the question. Red Demons hugged him tighter. "Yes, it does."
They sat there for awhile, in that position. Slowly, Stardust moved himself so that he could lean against Red Demons chest, while Red Demons crossed his arms over Stardust's chest, holding him. Stardust glanced up to Red Demons, who was looking at him. "You know we can't let Jack and Yusei find this out." Red Demons touched the forehead of Stardust with his nose. "They won't." Reassured, Stardust rubbed himself against Red Demons chest, as the sun set completely and the stars started to appear in the sky.
"…I love you."
