I don't own Animal Crossing okay? I know this poem is short but I think it describes the pains of the game well. I came up with this when I was sent on a mission to get a comic book for Midge. Anyway, enough of this A/N, on with the ficlet!
(Player's POV)
Well, you see, in an effort to pay back Tom Nook for the work done on my house, (Good work mind you, fast too.), I go around and do chores for the villagers here in Sycamore. Anyway, I first went to Limburg and he said he did not have anything for me to do. (Like he always does for the longest time) Therefore, I then go to Olivia's and she said she wanted a ball, and the closest one is floating in the ocean by Tybalt's house, so there goes that plan. So, I do a little fishing and what do I catch? Sea Bass! Sea Bass! I take them to Nook's and he only pays about 120 bells for them. No way in hell can I make enough money in the ocean fishing! So I ask again for jobs. This time, Midge tells me Pompom borrowed her comic book and will not give it back to her. I figure, why not you know. Oh, boy was I wrong. I then go to Pompom's and she says Tom, yes a cat with the same name as Tom Nook, and took it when he came to her house. So, I walk all the way down to Tom's and he says Roald has it. So, I go to Roald's but he says Tabby has it. I walk to Tabby's house. (This is thankfully not too far away) Tabby does not have it, so she tells me Dizzy has it. I go to Dizzy's and find Rex has it. I go to Rex's and find, much to my surprise, he has it. I take it to Midge who thanks me for my effort and gives me, not bells, not furniture, not an ugly outfit but only stationary! Stationary! What annoys me is not the fact Midge's comic book was next to her house, nooooooooooooooooooooo; I had to go all over Sycamore to find it. Not only did I waste good fishing time getting it, but also I could have gotten much better prizes catching sea bass or shaking trees and being stung! Well, I am going to sell this lacy paper to Nook, go fishing and maybe if I catch a boot, I will dump it in Midge's lawn. I did that when Dizzy did not pay for those flowers I planted. Now, if you do not mind, I am eyeing a barred knife jaw in the ocean. I am not helping this town again. Damn you Tom Nook!
How was that? Random I know, but hey. Oh, so you know Sycamore is the name of my town in the game. I hope you like that. I hope it was funny. I know anyone who played Animal Crossing can sympathize. That game is addicting though… Anyway, ciao for now,
