No Man is an Island
"Oh, I see y…you used the…drill…uh…."
Hank sighed as he set down the drill. "Let's get you cleaned up, then I'll go deal with my newest patient." He said as he took the soiled towel and replaced it with a clean gauze; expertly wrapping Will's head to keep the wound closed and clean until a hospital could be reached. "You're gonna be fine. I'll be right back, just keep him still."
Hank then grabbed two more towels and a bottle of water before making his way of to his brother. Checking to make sure Evan didn't break anything; he folded up one of the towels and placed it under the younger man's head. He then folded the second towel in thirds and wet it slightly with the water. "Evan? Can you hear me?" Hank asked as he cooled Evan's skin. "You gotta wake up Ev. Come on buddy," Hank pressed the cool towel behind Evan's neck as he lightly patted his cheeks.
Evan moaned a few times before finally opening his eyes. He stared at the blurry figure above him before trying to sit up, but was easily pushed back down.
"Easy Evan. Don't try to sit up yet. Does your head hurt?"
"N…no. What happened?"
"You fainted 'Super Manny,'" Hank jested as he wiped Evan's face once more. "You dizzy at all?"
Evan laid still for a moment before shaking his head. "No, I think I'm good. Just get me up, I'm gonna go crawl in a hole now."
Hank just smiled and shook his head as he helped his very embarrassed brother to his feet. "Just thank yourself Evan, we'll soon be back on the main land soon." Hank said clapping his brother's back and offering him the rest of the water bottle.
Evan stumbled forward a little, but returned Hank's smile. "Yea, I'm awesome like that. Super Manny, remember?" Without waiting for a response Evan took the water excused himself to check on the twins once more, but Hank knew Evan just wanted to console his pride.
Hello everyone. So this is my first Royal Pains ff. Be gentle. LOL! XD This takes place after Evan faints on the island in 'No Man is an Island.' One of my favorite scenes, but they never show what happens, so this is how I think it should have gone. I'm still deciding if I want to add another chapter to this. If I did, it would be later in the night and Evan would have that concussion Hank was checking for. What do you think?
