Hi! Thank's for checking this out! I own nothing, all the characters belong to BBC.
A final kiss. A see you later, sweetie. A final twist on her Vortex Manipulator, and she was gone. River Song was gone. Gone to the Library. Gone to a younger version of himself who did not know who she was. Gone to her death.
The Doctor just stood there, staring at the place she had just occupied. He had know this day would come, he had dreaded this day. And here it was, even worse than he had expected. River Song, his wife, had gone to her death. His eyes strained the air, hoping to get one last glimpse of the sun against her curls, one more glimpse of her tantalizing smile, anything, anything at all. But it was not to be. Just that one phrase, See you later, sweetie, ringing in his ears.
He did not know how long he stood there, silent tears streaming down his face, before he was able to move his feet. But once he did, it was like a dam had burst. Suddenly he could not bear to be standing there for one instant longer, hearing the heart-wrenching song of the Towers, seeing the grass where he and River had had their last picnic, hearing the birds chirping as they went on in their lives. How could they go on? How could they go on in a world where there was no more River?
The Doctor span on his heel, ran back into the TARDIS, slamming the door shut and catching onto the console. Still Rivers voice stayed in his head. Away, he had to get away! He ran around the console, not bothering what coordinates he set, as long as they took him away from this dreadful place. His hand paused for a moment at the brakes, and remembering River and how she secretly loved how he always left the brakes on, turned them off. The ship was shaking now, as always, but it was strangely silent without the Vworrrp Vworrrp that regularly accompanied his dematerialization. Silent, just like his hearts.
There was a violent rumble and the TARDIS fell out from under his feet. At least, that's what it felt like. The Doctor caught himself against the railing surrounding the console platform. The TARDIS was bucking like a wild horse. He stumbled back to the console, flinching as a stream of electricity jumped in front of his face.
"What's gotten into you, Sexy?"
Sparks were flying everywhere as the Doctor ran around the console trying to stabilize his vessel. He zigged the zigzag, hit the blue boringers but nothing worked. He tried to zag the zigzag, but no go. Suddenly there was a violent shake and the Doctor felt his feet lift off the ground. That sure seems to be happening a lot lately was his last thought before he hit the wall and fell, unconscious.
Wow, what a cliff-hanger! What's going to happen next? Well, I might need your help with that. The plot-bunnies only gave me up to there, but if you give them enough carrots in the form of reviews, as well as ideas maybe I can figure it out. I was thinking of making this a cross-over, because cross-overs are cool! but with what? Anyways, ideas, hints and reviews all appreciated. This is my first story here, so thanks for reading!
