(Malik Normal Malik and IshtarYami no Malik)
At his request, the blonde lay at his home instead of in the hospital. Paler than before, he coughs hard enough to shake his entire too thin body. Left to weak by illness to wipe away the choked up blood, he can only raise his once tanned hand a few inches. His devoted servant gently wipes away the scarlet liquid with a damp, soft cloth.
"Is…that you?" asks the invalid shakily.
"Malik-sama," whispers the servant, "I promised never to leave your side."
Malik tries to smile in response and his eyes open a little more. This wasn't anything new, however, the blonde had been born with an incurable disease. The medicine he'd taken for 15 years had been recalled due to lack of testing, leaving him to die slowly. Unseen by the other two, Ishtar stands off to one side looking down at his creator. The darkness's expression becomes a mix of contempt and pity when he sees his light can't eat anything. Pity…a foreign emotion, but even the coldest heart softens when seeing their reason for life on the brink of death.
Tears of pain enter the young teen's eyes as the rough coughing tears the back of his throat. Sickened further by the taste of his own blood, Malik tightly closes his eyes. Choking now, unable to force out what was clogging his lungs, he struggles for even the taste of air. He clearly won't live the 4 days before the medicine which greatly lessened the symptoms is to be re-released. Ishtar hears his name being called over the mental link, pleading for his aid. The light could live if the dark died, but not the other way around. At the last second, the dark's mind is made up. Ishtar will die and Malik will live.
The doctor, bought the time needed by the sacrifice of the darkness, siphons out what was preventing the blonde from breathing. Slowly, the patient relaxes and drifts off to sleep…

Ishtar: growls You made me die!
