Winry Rockbell was not the average little girl. She hung out with boys and loved mechanics. Being the girl that she was, she was always made fun of at school. She often cried when she was alone. To make matters worse her parents were killed in the war and she now only had her grandmother to care for her. The boys that she hung out with, Edward and Alphonse Elric. They had lost their parents and had noone.

"Winry, are you okay?" Ed asked. He had just told her that they would be leaving to live with a relative. It caught Winry offguard. "I'm sorry, but if we don't leave, you can get into trouble with the police." Winry shook her head, droplets of water falling.

"Please don't leave." Winry sobbed. Ed, only being age nine, tried his best to comfort the sobbing girl. He hugged her and told her that they would meet again and that all three of them would be together.

"Yeah, Brother has everything planned out to visit you again." Al pipped up. Winry smiled adn released Ed.

"You better. Or i'll find you." She promised. The trains' whistle blew and black smoke started to come out. Ed and Al hopped onto the train adn ran to the nearest window. Edward popped his head out and smiled.

"Goodbye Winry!" He yelled. As the train made its' way down from the station, Pinako, Winry's grandmother, spoke.

"You know Winry, you can't count on those boys returning home."

Smiling, Winry replied, "He promised though."

"Some goodbyes are farewells, Win."

But, in her heart, Winry knew, that they would meet again.
