Everybody always says that history repeats itself; that there's a pattern, and you can find it if you just look hard enough. Buffy's never really thought about that much. Until now.
Until tonight, which makes two lovers who have wandered off into the mist. Two people who touched her so deeply, and yet, couldn't stay. Was this her life now? Would she just be doomed forever, never to know a true love that could last?
That night when she got home, face tearstained and pale, she prayed that her next relationship would have a happy ending. That's all she wanted.
