DG-R1 Incident report: Detective Harvey Bullock

Victim: Mr. Mortimer Airy

Suspect: Edward Nygma

First responder: Officer Montoya

Witnesses: None

This was supposed to be a very clear cut case. Batman was called in as a… "consultant" as soon as we found the body. We found the victim's jugular sliced, and the face removed, but this made no sense. The M.O. was Hush's, but he's in prison. We double checked. Batman isn't sure either, as of yet. The Autopsy revealed the victim's identity as one Mortimer Airy. Batman saw through this, as predicted. Mort Airy was revealed as an alias, rearranged, it spells Moriarty, the famous rival of Sherlock Holmes in the novels. This then, revealed a possible motive, even a possible killer. We uncovered a Cayman Islands account under said alias, and fresh, unmarked bills pointing at the unsolved U.S. Mint robbery two days ago. Cleary this "Moriarty" was trying to become this city's criminal genius. But there's only one true criminal genius in this town. The Riddler. He'd been waiting for his opportunity to murder Moriarty since Moriarty entered the scene 2 months ago. Moriarty had been smart enough not to leave a trace, so his crimes remained unsolved. This clearly upset the Riddler, who felt threatened. Then, he murdered Moriarty, and tried to throw us off the scent by having his goons mimic Hush's M.O. Riddler was found and arrested on the spot, to be tried two days from now.
